America Ligman has been painting since she was able to hold a paintbrush. Painting never left her no matter where she found herself. The desire to paint and draw is deep rooted in who she is created to be, as an artist.

With her process, paintings will often start as a dream, a vision, or simply a writing that was inspired by an experience or day to day living with her three girls at home, which she often brings into the process with her. She enjoys having them create with her, keeping childlike wonder and play into the process.
